A Perthshire school is going to be out of this world when its name travels into space this summer. Last week the international space station was visible in the Perthshire night sky – but Bertha Park High School hopes to actually be in space in the next few months.Principal teacher of science Stuart Smith applied to have the school’s name on NASA’s next Mars Rover.And his request to the American space agency has been successful, much to the school’s delight.The science teacher explained: “It was a thing NASA put out back in May/June last year and I put it [Bertha Park] into the website.“It’s etched on to a bunch of chips along with about 11 million other people.“I got a certificate from NASA.
