In an exclusive chat with OK!,Chanelle Hayes opens up about her tummy tuck surgery, which took an unexpected turn due to the discovery of a hernia during the procedure.

The 35 year old mum of two had a gastric sleeve fitted in 2020, causing her to lose a staggering 8st in weight. After successfully undergoing the surgery to help the former Big Brother star maintain a healthy weight, Chanelle was left with excess skin around her stomach which she felt was causing her to appear older than her age.

In January of this year, she decided to have a tummy tuck to address this issue. However, her experience with the surgery and recovery was far more challenging than she had anticipated.

Chanelle describes the post-surgery period as painful and extensive. She encountered complications during the operation when a hernia was discovered and subsequently repaired, leading to intense discomfort. “My tummy tuck really did knock me for six this year,” she told OK!. “I was in so much pain during the recovery.They found a hernia during surgery, so repaired that, which caused a lot of pain.
