Mum who was mauled to death by own dog 'had a seizure and fell to ground'
dailyrecord.co.ukA mum who died after a horror dog attack reportedly had a seizure and fell to the floor before being mauled to death by the beast.Kelly was viciously attacked by her own pet dog on July 22 and despite her boyfriend's desperate attempts to save her she died at the scene.The canine involved in the attack has been seized and is not believed to be on the banned breed list but assessments remain ongoing.The 33-year-old mum of two lived with health issues and reportedly suffered a seizure and collapsed screaming as the animal pounced.
Speaking with the Mirror today, neighbour Lorraine Griffiths said: "Kelly suffers from seizures and is thought to have fallen to the floor while having a fit. "The dog which is an XL Bully was in the flat and grabbed her neck.
It may have been trying to help her at first and not hurt her and then panicked and attacked. Her ear had been ripped off and was later found on the floor nearby."Heartbreakingly, Lorraine went on to share how Kelly's partner Noel Spring, who lived in a flat opposite to hers, had rushed to aid and was 'desperately trying to bring her back'.Lorraine continued: "He was doing chest compressions but it wasn't working.
It is such a terrible thing to happen. Noel is too upset to speak about it, he has just lost his missus and he is hurting so much."Chief Inspector David Amos said: "We understand that this is a distressing and tragic incident and we would like to thank the local community for their support and our emergency services colleagues who dealt with this incident."Our thoughts remain firmly with the family and loved ones of the woman who has sadly died and will be informing the coroner of her death."Although the breed of the dog is yet to be confirmed, at this stage we do
