In six short months, Louise Sullivan's life has been turned upside down. The mum-of-two, who lives in Egypt with her husband and children Aloha, 12, and Malu, 9, went into hospital for an appendicitis operation in April 2023.

What should have been a routine surgery revealed a cancerous tumour in her bowel. Surgeons removed the growth and advised her they had got all the cancer, but continued to monitor the 43-year-old's bloods and scans.

But just five months later, doctors told Louise she had grown a second, extremely aggressive, tumour on her liver. In the space of just one month, the tumour grew to the size of a grapefruit.

Louise was rushed back to hospital in Manchester after cancer was found in her liver, abdomen and pancreas.
