Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Saving money at the moment is difficult due to the rising cost of living and soaring energy bills. But if you're desperate to put away some money this year, a cash-saving challenge involving envelopes could mean you end 2023 with a whopping £5,000 saved. All you need to take part is 100 envelopes, and on each one, write any cash amount between £1 and £100.

Each week, choose two at random and save however much the envelope is labelled with. The Mirror reports that you'll complete the challenge in 50 weeks if you pick two each time, meaning in less than a year you'll have a savings pot of £5,050.

It's not too late to start either - if you want to begin the challenge now and catch up on the past two weeks, you can pick out four envelopes this week and you'll be back on track.

It's important to be aware that some weeks you might have to put quite a bit away - for example, if you draw the £99 and £100 envelopes.
