Armed police swarmed on a street in a Scots town after reports of a 'man with a weapon.'Officers scrambled to Nairn Court in the Hallglen area of Falkirk this morning, Thursday, July 25, at around 9:10am after being alerted to the incident.

A search of the area was carried out and a 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. The footage shows armed officers, dressed all in black, standing at the rear of three seperate vehicles.

Another image shows two police vehicles locking down a road in the area. Speaking to the Record, one man said: "I've never seen so many police here in my life.

There's been riot vans and police cars everywere this morning. "They haven't just been in one street, loads of people have reported seeing them all across the area. "We seen three police cars arriving and they took guns out from the back of their vehicles so it looks like a serious incident."A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.10am on Thursday, 25 July 2024, police received a report of a man potentially in possession of a weapon (not a firearm) in Nairn Court, Falkirk.
