UK mobile, energy, broadband and TV providers increased their prices for existing customers this month with the changes coming into force on April 1.Popular providers including Sky, O2, EE and Three Mobile are just a few well-known providers that have confirmed higher prices.

However if you want to avoid a hike, one new SIM deal could help customers avoid the added fees from a lesser-known mobile provider. Thanks to SMARTY'S new deal, the cheapest SIM plan spotted by the Mirror means you won't be tied into any contract.

This means if the prices go up, you can leave. The budget mobile provider just launched an offer by tripling the data amount offered on its usual £8 a month 16GB SIM plan, so you'll now get 50GB for the same price.

This gives mobile users a lot more for their money as a quick look reveals Sky's equivalent 50GB SIM only plan costs £20 a month.Taking a look at O2, a 12GB Plus plan would set you back £17.99 a month whilst a 40GB a month plan at giffgaff, despite offering a smaller amount of data, is nearly double the price of SMARTY at £15 a month. The cheaper price isn't the only perk of the budget provider.
