Michael Stewart has renewed his feud with his old manager Craig Levein and reckons the former Scotland boss was fortunate to get back into football with St Johnstone.A 2-0 defeat to St Mirren in Paisley was a third Premiership defeat on the spin and leaves the Saints just two points above second-bottom Ross County having played a game more.
Levein, 59 has won just five of his 18 league matches since taking on the job back in November and also suffered a shock upset in the Scottish Cup to Championship side Aidrieonians last month. And pundit Stewart, who has held a strained relationship with his ex-Hearts manager for years, has once again tore into the Saints boss, describing his style of play as "archaic".
Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland, he said: "Everybody knows my thoughts on this but I don't say it for a laugh. If Craig Levein was doing a good job I wouldn't have a problem with it but I just don't think he's a good manager.
He is an archaic type and his style of football is horrific."I want to see football teams that attack and he can't do that. He has now got a side that are dropping like a stone.
