Men shown in brutal GMP video at Manchester Airport pictured for first time

Two men who were involved in an incident at Manchester Airport which led to a police officer being suspended have been pictured.

The video, which has been shared widely on social media, shows an armed officer kicking and stamping on a man's head. Greater Manchester Police has said the incident on Tuesday (July 23) was prompted by an assault which led to four men being arrested and left one officer with a broken nose.

GMP has suspended an officer and referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. In a video on social media, Akhmed Yakoob, a solicitor representing the family from Rochdale, has named two of the men involved in the incident as Amaad and Fahir. He asked the public to 'pray for his wellbeing' as doctors deal with a cyst on his brain found in a CT scan. Mr Yakoob's office has confirmed that the man is called Muhammed Fahir Ammaz.
