The book alleges that Meghan asked the Spice Girls star for complimentary clothes and handbags while she was engaged to Prince Harry.

However, this request was "vetoed by the Palace for being against their rules," according to Tom. The explosive book also suggests Meghan was "irritated" upon discovering Victoria's wealth surpassed her own.

It claimed she was annoyed when she realised the Beckhams had "considerably more wealth" than she did, reports the Mirror. According to Tom, signs of tension in the relationship between the famous families began to emerge in 2018.
