Manchester United star Mary Earps has been crowned Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year. The 30-year-old added the award to her growing collection after coming fifth in the Ballon d’Or rankings.
She recently won the Golden Glove award at the Women’s World Cup as England lost the final to Spain, having already claimed the 2022/23 Women’s Super League Golden Glove.
Her incredible form stretches back to the 2022 European Championship, where the shot-stopper was again the winner of the Golden Glove award as England claimed the trophy.
Earps faced competition for the Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year award from two-time heptathlon world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson, seven-time Paralympic gold medallist Hannah Cockroft and England cricketer Tammy Beaumont.
