A Manchester based in-home care service has been put into ‘special measures’ after an inspection found care recipients ‘were not always treated with dignity and respect’.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspected Engage Care Services, based in Miles Platting, following complaints about poor personal care.

The report said: “We have identified breaches in relation to medicines management, managing risks people may face, maintaining people's dignity when providing care and the management of the service and staff team.” The service looks after 71 people across the UK who are elderly, living with dementia or have physical disabilities.
