A man stabbed by his girlfriend called his mum in the early hours of the morning and begged "please come" as blood poured from the wound, a court has heard.Kimberley Blyth, 36, left her now ex-partner with a gaping wound in his left arm after the drunken pair got into an argument at their home in South Tyneside.Newcastle Crown Court heard there was fault on both sides and the couple were in a "toxic" relationship at the time of the April 2022 incident after meeting on Facebook 10 months prior.Blyth, who is now pregnant, admitted unlawful wounding and has been handed a suspended prison sentence, Chronicle Live reports.The victim works as a bricklayer and said the attack has left him with permanent nerve damage which affects his work, and he feared he was going to be killed during the incident.Both parties reported allegations of violence to police during the course of their time together, with the relationship described in court as "tempestuous".On April 2, 2022, the couple were drinking at pubs in Boldon, South Tyneside, and had returned home when an altercation occurred in the kitchen shortly after midnight.Blyth, believing she had been assaulted, picked up a knife from the kitchen block and came towards the victim, who was stabbed in the arm after raising it to protect himself.Around 1am, the victim called his mother and left a voicemail saying “please come, she has stabbed me twice.
