A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing during Bolton Wanderers' crucial play-off semi-final. The League One side lost 2-3 during the second leg against Barnsley last night (May 7) at Bolton's home ground, the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The result was enough to see the Whites through to the final at Wembley, having won the first leg 1-3 in Barnsley. But one 34-year-old man would not have been joining in the celebrations at full time, after being arrested by Greater Manchester Police.

Officers acted on intelligence before arresting the man inside the ground, GMP says. Police recovered 16 bags, which officers suspected contained cocaine, as well as cash. There, they recovered more snap bags and a mobile phone. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
