Tottenham away in 2004, QPR at home in 2012, Gillingham at Wembley in 1999. Okay, buying an Ethernet cable in Japan wasn't quite one of the all-time great comebacks, but it certainly feels great to be back online again.

If you read day one of my tour diary, it will make some sense; if not, then have a read, and you'll soon realise why I am so excited to actually be able to work.

The second day in Japan is just as energy-sapping as the first, with temperatures hitting 33 degrees celsius. It'll get to a point when I stop doing daily weather updates, but it is relevant given that it will surely have an impact on the quality of the first match this weekend.

Another factor that should have a positive impact on that opener is that City have brought a star-studded squad with them to Tokyo, with Kevin De Bruyne the standout name after his recent injury lay-off.
