City, along with Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, announced their decision to join the closed-shop competition at the weekend but, having received 48-hours of continued backlash, the English sides stepped aside.

Fans remain furious about the move in the first place, holding the decision-makers to rights and looking to force change to ensure a similar situation cannot occur in the future.
