Survey: Have your say on the new Mancunian Way speed limit

The speed limit on Mancunian Way has been reduced significantly this week and we'd like to know what you think of the decision.

The limit dropped from 50mph to 30mph on Monday night (14 February), coming into effect at 9pm following an announcement by Manchester council.

The decision was made as a response to a string of 29 crashes on the road since 2018, including a fatal one earlier this year. The changes to the speed limit have caused division amongst our readers, with many sharing their feelings. One person disagreeing with the change said: " How to make a road more dangerous 101, apply a speed limit well below what is reasonable knowing half the people won't abide by it." Another responded saying: " This is a ludicrous idea.
