Stockport band Blossoms have announced a five-night residency at Manchester later this year where they will play five of the city’s iconic venues in one week.
Hot on the heels of their spectacular show at Wythenshawe Park last month, the five-piece are gearing up for the upcoming release of their fifth studio album, Gary, this Friday (September 20).
The five-night residency, which will take place in November, will see Blossoms perform at Manchester Academy, the O2 Ritz, Albert Hall, Victoria Warehouse and the Apollo - all venues that the band say they have a special connection to. READ MORE: Supergrass announce new tour - and take swipe at Oasis on dynamic pricing During the run of shows, they will be joined by a host of special guests including Neon Waltz, Lottery Winners and The K's, who were awarded the Breakthrough Act of the Year trophy at the Northern Music Awards earlier this year.
More special guests will be unveiled in the coming weeks. Speaking about the Manchester residency, Blossoms say: “We wanted to do something special with the Manchester shows for this run of gigs. “We played each one of these venues on our way up, so it’s great after our Wythenshawe Park show to go and do these venues and remember where everything started for us.
