Man charged after double stabbing which left two people in hospital

Tyrell Thornton, 21, of Kingswood Road, Fallowfield, has been charged with two counts of section 18 assault after Monday's attack.

A 34-year-old man and 42-year-old woman were taken to hospital after being stabbed in a house on Ashford Walk in Chadderton at around 10.50am.

The man was stabbed multiple times and remains in hospital with life-changing injuries, but in a stable condition. The woman had injuries to her face and has since been discharged to continue recovering at home.
