Just before 11pm, crews were called to the quarry, off Thorpe Lane, in Austerlands to help an intoxicated man. North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) called the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) to the scene, to help with getting the man, who was unconscious and perched dangerously on the edge of the quarry, down.
