Man bit wife on the cheek and choked her during argument

A woman suffered a facial injury when her husband threw a painting at her during an argument.Darren Gallagher also choked the woman and bit her on the cheek, Airdrie Sheriff Court heard this week.Gallagher, 26, admitted assaulting the woman at a property in Clunie Place, Coatbridge, on August 16 last year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
