A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was killed outside a kebab shop. Rebecca Steer died after a car mounted a kerb and hit her in the early hours of Sunday morning (October 9).

Rebecca was one of two pedestrians hit by the vehicle on Willow Street in Oswestry, near the Welsh border in Shropshire. A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident outside the Grill Out kebab shop in the town, reports Wales Online.

Ms Steer’s family has described her as “the most loving, talented and kind-hearted person you could know”. In a tribute shared through West Mercia Police, Ms Steer’s family said: “We are all completely devastated by the loss of our beautiful girl Rebecca.
