Grateful Nick Montgomery says he has nothing but respect for two 'unbelievable servants' in Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson – and opened up on the honest talks behind their summer departures.Hanlon and Stevenson will both leave Hibs at the end of the season after more than 30 years’ combined service and north of 1,100 appearances between them.
They will get the ultimate farewell with a special presentation after the final home Premiership game against Motherwell on Wednesday, May 15.
Stevenson, 36, and Hanlon, 34, are modern day Hibs legends but boss Montgomery says honesty about their situations was the only thing for it as he builds for the future.
He told the Edinburgh Evening News: “I think you handle it with honesty. It helps that you’re talking about two really honest players, as well.
