Liam Payne was announced as a judge on a new Netflix reality show before his tragic death on Wednesday night as he fell from his third floor balcony in a Buenos Aires hotel.

In May, news broke that Liam would be a judge on a new show, Building The Band, in which the next great pop group is created, without seeing them first.

The show, was advertised to form the next great music group without any of the members ever seeing each other until a final reveal.

Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland were announced as judges alongside Liam, with Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean planned to serve as host. “As former members of The Pussycat Dolls, Destiny’s Child, One Direction, and the Backstreet Boys, respectively, these hitmakers will bring their unparalleled expertise and years of personal experience to the competition,” the streaming giant announced in a press release.
