Former One Direction star Liam Payne tragically lost his life due to multiple traumas and "internal and external haemorrhage" after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel, according to a post-mortem examination report. The incident is currently under investigation by Argentina's National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No 16 as an "inconclusive death", following the findings of the report.

Devastated by the loss, the star's family expressed their profound grief in a statement to the PA news agency through a spokeswoman: "Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul." The prosecutor's office said five witnesses were questioned in order to reconstruct what happened on October 16 at the CasaSur Hotel in the Palermo area of Buenos Aires.

Emerging details suggest that hotel staff made two emergency calls, with recordings indicating a request for help for a guest who was "intoxicated by drugs and alcohol".

Upon arrival, police and emergency services discovered Liam dead at the scene, and his remains were subsequently moved to the judicial morgue.
