Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

At one point in the book, Mallory visits her beau, who is acting erratically due to drugs. He’s hitting himself “again and again, working himself into a frenzy.” She begs for her partner to stop hurting himself — but that prompts him to stand up.
She writes: Mallory tries to get him to come back inside, but Oliver then yells that he’s “gonna f**king kill myself … I want to die.” Oh my gosh… The one major difference between the book and reality is that it’s not the pop star who falls off the balcony — but Mallory!
