Singer Lewis Capaldi has broken his social media silence with a new announcement six months after he said he would be 'taking a break' from touring and focusing on his physical and mental health.

Following his performance at Glastonbury in June, Capaldi announced he would be taking a break from touring “for the foreseeable future”.

The emotional singer had struggled through his set on the Pyramid Stage, assisted by the crowd, and later said he was “still learning to adjust" to his Tourette’s, a condition of the nervous system that causes tics.

In a post on social media at the end of June, he thanked fans for their ongoing support and said the decision to halt touring had been “the most difficult decision of my life”.
