Lanarkshire schoolgirl delighted at letter from Sir David Attenborough

A Lanarkshire schoolgirl was delighted to receive a letter from wildlife legend Sir David Attenborough recently. Evie Rose McCall, who attends Newton Farm Primary in Cambuslang, wrote to the famous documentary maker to say how much she loved his recent series Frozen Planet 2, which focused on wildlife in the coldest parts of the planet.

The P4 youngster wasn't expecting to hear anything back, but was stunned when a handwritten letter dropped through her mailbox just before Christmas.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

"I am so glad you find such inspiration in the programmes I narrate.
