Yet it has come to light that before she became William's wife, a rather unflattering pet name was coined by his 'snooty' friends, poking fun at her mother Carole Middleton's past occupation as a British Airways flight attendant.They would slyly say "Doors to Manual" in reference to the Princess, as Royal expert Katie Nicholl divulged on the Vanity Fair Dynasty podcast.
Katie highlighted Kate's dignified response: "To her full credit, Kate never rose to it - the snootiness of the upper classes levelled at what they called the en-masse Middletons." There's no doubt that the mean-spirited moniker wasn't water off a duck's back, but an aide confided to the Sunday Times Magazine that Kate, resilient and composed, never allowed it to rattle her.The aide recalled: "It was never water off a duck's back, but she has extraordinary strength of character and resilience.
I've never once seen or heard of her losing her temper."
