Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Kanye West has responded to a fan igniting a “Swiftie Emergency,” the ardent Taylor Swift fan calling on supporters to stream Beyonce‘s new single “Texas Hold Em” in order to deny West a No.

1 debut on the Billboard charts. The fan urged people to “buy and stream “Texas Hold Em” to block him from the top spot.” On February 13, West occupied half of all the spots inside the top 10 on Spotify’s ranking of the most-streamed songs in the U.S.

West saw his track “Carnival” hold at No. 1. Billboard’s charts may not show a strong beginning. The album was originally supposed to debut on Friday, but ultimately trickled out on streaming services over Saturday.

The incomplete first tracking week for the set will likely depress its opening numbers. West claimed in his rebuttal to the Swifties that he was “far more helpful to Taylor Swift’s career than harmful.” He added, “I am not your enemy, ummm, I’m not your friend either, though, LOL.” West drew a target on himself when he referred to Swift in the song “Carnival,” which is from the Vultures 1 album he just released as a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign.
