Justice for the Manchester Arena atrocity will have to wait - the sentencing of bomber's brother has been put back indefinitely amid the coronavirus lockdown

The sentencing hearing of the brother of the Manchester Arena bomber has been adjourned indefinitely because of the coronaviris lockdown.

Hashem Abedi, who helped his sibling prepare for the attack, was due to be sentenced on April 23 and 24 at the Old Bailey in London next week.

But extension of the lockdown period has prompted the judge to adjourn the hearing without setting a new date. It means the families of the 22 people Abedi helped to kill will have to endure another delay in a case that has been beset by delays.

The trial eventually got underway in January, two months late, because Abedi sacked his defence team. He also sacked his replacement defence team during the trial and refused to attend the majority of the latter stages of
