A group of generous friends have turned their front rooms into temporary tailors' shops to support NHS workers through the coronavirus crisis.
Donna Bradshaw, Alison Hamilton and Brett Dearden have set up ‘Manchester Pink Scrubs’ to create medical clothing for local surgeries.
They have 12 volunteers working with them and the team have started to hand out the scrubs to surgeries across south Manchester. “Our driver is the lack of PPE (personal protective equipment) our family and friends who are NHS and care workers told us about,” Donna says. “As sewing enthusiasts, we noticed another group called For the Love of Scrubs and were inspired by them to do the same.” Donna, Alison and Brett became friends several years ago on the dancefloor at
