Incoming Celtic striker Johnny Kenny's arrival has been "announced" by an Irish clothes store. League of Ireland club Sligo Rovers are believed to have negotiated a deal with the Parkhead side of around £125,000 for their talented striker.

The 18-year-old is set to be rubber stamped as the latest signing of a busy January window for Ange Postecoglou before linking up with the B team initially.

But the club have seemingly been beaten to the big reveal during the announcement of a link-up with EJ Menswear. The shop's official Facebook page shared a post announcing the player was preparing to leave for the Scottish Premiership.

The statement read: "My Bags Are Packed, I'm Ready To Go……"Pictured here with Ej is young Johnny Kenny who called into us yesterday before he will be leaving on a jet plane as the Riverstown native and former Sligo Rovers striker is set to sign with Glasgow Celtic."Johnny had his first season in the LOI last year bagging 11 goals and claiming the Sligo Rovers Young Player of the year award in the process."We wish you every success in Scotland Johnny and we have no doubt we will be in the famous Celtic Park in the years to come singing 'there's only one Johnny Kenny'."Kenny was being chased by Hibs but has opted for a move to Glasgow's east end.
