Bennet explained that materials being shipped to Glasgow have been delayed, with only one consignment having arrived in the city and another two still to arrive before work can be completed.A deal has been struck with the SFA to rent Hampden until Ibrox is fit for purpose again.
Bennett hopes to update fans this week on where season ticket holders will sit within the national stadium, but conceded that it his dream date for returning to Govan may not be achievable and he is having to put his trust in ships delivering when they are expected to."If I'm talking about timelines in terms of us returning to our home, which we all desperately want, then clearly after the September international break, and it's a case of how long after the September international break," he told Rangers TV."We can aspire - aspire, for that to be at the end of September but it's an aspiration.
I am sorry I have to caveat this and I think I've given the reasons I have to caveat it; the shipping situation. So yes I can have an aspiration - get our people back into our home for the final game of September.
