Pittodrie head of recruitment Darren Mowbray and his analyst team have also put Idzes on red alert for the Dons.Go Ahead want to keep their highly-rated 22-year-old but he hasn't been able to agree to an extension.
Eagles could sell in this window to maximise their money, although they would also be entitled to compensation if he was to leave in the summer.
Idzes came through the ranks at PSV Eindhoven but started his professional career with rivals EVV Eindhoven. Dons manager Jim Goodwin is looking to strengthen his backline and is currently working on a number of defensive options.
Sunderland’s Australian international Bailey Wright is another they have registered an interest in, but rivals Hibs are also interested and so are several English League One sides, including Derby County.
