James Martin, known for his indulgent culinary style and love of butter, has shared the secret behind his impressive three-stone weight loss.The star of ITV's 'James Martin's Saturday Morning' credits his slimmed-down figure to his passion for car racing, which motivated him to shed the pounds so he could enjoy the sport more fully.James opened up about his weight loss journey on the 'Spooning with Mark Wogan' podcast, where he discussed the challenges of getting in and out of race cars at a heavier weight.

He humorously remarked, "It comes down to the fact that I race cars, or I still try and race a few cars and I actually struggle to get out of them now.

Getting in them, you kind of fall in them, but then you've got to get out of them and it just doesn't look very good."In terms of diet, Martin revealed that cutting back on sweets like Twix bars and incorporating more fish into his meals has been effective.

He noted, "I've decided that I maybe need to stay clear away from these (picks up a Twix bar) and stuff like that - and maybe eat fish - and it's worked." Despite his healthier eating habits, James hasn't abandoned his favourite ingredient, butter, which makes up 80 per cent of his diet.
