ITV show, Queens For The Night, which was hosted by Scots presenter Lorraine Kelly, is said to have been dropped after failing to secure a large number of viewers.
The show saw various different male celebs, including soap stars Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson, become drag queens for the night, with the help of Kitty Scott-Claus and Myra Dubois.
But it has now been revealed that after airing just one series, there will not be another any time soon. Sources have claimed that there are no plans for it return this year but there is scope to revive it in the future, writes The Mirror. The insider said: "The show was always thought of as a bit of a 'special' for ITV but there was always the hope it might take off and become a series."They added: "That hasn’t happened but it’s the kind of programme channel bosses could bring back sporadically." They went on to tell The Sun : "It was a bold choice for ITV1 on a Saturday but a worthy one." In 2022, ITV announced the show would be hosted by Lorraine Kelly and would see the likes of Melanie C, Rob Beckett, Courtney Act and Layton Williams sitting on the judging panel.
Whereas the likes of Love Island star Chris Hughes, rugby ace Joe Marler and Mr Motivator all swapped their regular appearance to become drag queens. When the show was announced, Lorraine said she was delighted to be hosting it.
