ITV's Love Island descends into chaos as filming halted and islanders shut away in villa

Love Island fans have been loving the show following the Casa Amor drama - which has seen some of the couples questioning their future.However, the show was thrown into chaos today as torrential rain in South Africa reportedly led to the Islanders being locked away inside the villa, writes The Mirror.Filming scenes of the dating show outside had to be cancelled because of the bad weather with the Islanders under strict instructions to stay indoors.Previously, high winds caused problems for production at the start of filming the winter series earlier this year.

A show source said: “The weather in South Africa has been a nightmare over the past 24 hours." The unfortunate torrential rain meant that filming had to be halted as the production team waited for the bad weather to subside and the Islanders were shut away in the villa until the storm passed.A source told The Sun: “It isn’t ideal for the producers as what viewers want to see is the sexy stars in their bikinis lounging by the pool – not sitting around inside."The source then went on to say that the storm eventually did pass and the weather forecast is looking far more promising for the next few days.A representative for Love Island has been contacted for comment.In tonight's episode, viewers are keen to see Martin's less than impressed reaction to Tanya's declaration of love for Shaq last night.When the episode ended last night, fans were not happy after Tanya made a public declaration to Shaq - in front of Martin and the rest of the islanders, resulting in #PoorMartin to be trending on Twitter.Tanya - who is currently coupled up with Martin after bringing him back from Casa Amor - stood up in front of the islanders tonight after their party and made an announcement
