Holly Willoughby has made a sensational return to the spotlight one month after stepping down from This Morning after 14 years for a very important cause. The 42-year-old host has joined former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and presenter Laura Whitmore in support of Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day, taking place on Thursday, 7 December.

It comes as the former ITV presenter had been keeping a fairly low-profile away from the public eye since her shock departure from the popular programme having said that she made the decision in the best interests for herself and her family.Holly had a tough few months following her co-star Phillip Schofield's departure following an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger male colleague.

The mum-of-three has now vowed to help Save the Children raise funds for children in the UK and around the world to stay safe, healthy and learning.

Discussing the important cause, Holly told OK Magazine: " Christmas Jumper Day is a really fabulous way of raising lots of money for Save the Children and it's so easy to get involved!"Simply put on your favourite Christmas jumper on 7th December and donate £2.
