Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

ITV Britain's Got Talent fans say 'well deserved' as singer gets first golden buzzer of series

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were delighted when a singer was awarded the season's first golden buzzer. The ITV show returned on Saturday night (April 20) with a fresh series, fronted once again by Ant and Dec.

Simon Cowell, Alisha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli also returned in hopes of whittling down the country's top talent.

An unusual AI music group, a goldfish comedian and a cheerleading team were among those auditioning in the opening episode. But it was a 28-year-old vocalist who was given the coveted golden buzzer by Holden. The gesture automatically sends the act to the live shows. Singer Sydnie Christmas, 28, dazzled the judges with her voice when she sang a cover of Tomorrow from the musical Annie.
