Jack Dunn Veteran visual effects supervisor Paul Franklin, who won Oscars for his work on Christopher Nolan films “Interstellar” and “Inception,” has joined VFX and technology company beloFX as creative director.
Earlier, he spent 25 years at VFX giant DNEG, the company he co-founded in 1998. In joining beloFX, he’s reuniting with fellow DNEG co-founders Matt Holben and Alex Hope.
Holben and Hope co-founded beloFX in 2021 with COO Ellen Walder and CTO Graham Jack, with backing from investor Elisabeth Murdoch.
The company operates out of three studios in Canada, the U.K. and India. Franklin, a long-time collaborator of Nolan, supervised the visual effects for the three films in the “Dark Knight” trilogy.
