Inpatient at hospital jailed for sexual assault after grabbing and trying to kiss nurse

An inpatient at a hospital repeatedly tried to kiss a nurse while she was doing her job. Harvey Collins, 27, has been jailed for 20 months after admitting sexual assault.

His victim said Collins' behaviour had made her feel 'very sick' and 'unclean'. She added: "I would hate to know what he could do to others out and about." Manchester Crown Court heard that Collins, from Rusholme, was at the Royal Salford hospital in July last year.

Just before 2pm, the female mental health nurse was walking alone down a corridor when Collins approached her, asking whether he could 'do his laundry'.

This required a member of staff to unlock the laundry room. When she turned around, Collins pushed himself against her and made several attempts to kiss her,
