A repeat offender has been jailed for carrying a knife in Motherwell town centre.John Morris was with a friend in the early evening when he was stopped by police officers.He was given a 10-month prison sentence at Hamilton Sheriff Court.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He has no reason and the lines are blurred because he had been drinking and taking street Valium."The sheriff told dad of three Morris: "The dangers of carrying knives are well understood.
