Jack Russell, the founding member of American rock band Great White has died aged just 63, with his wife Heather Ann and son Matthew Hucko by his side.
His band announced his death early on Friday, 16 August, in a statement which praised the musician as "one of rock's biggest champions".
K.L Doty, the author of the rocker's autobiography, said the cause of death was Lewy body dementia, a neurological condition with similar symptoms to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
In the official statement posted on the OfficialGreatWhite account on X (Twitter), Jack's band described the late lead singer as "amazing", and said his performances on stage were "always beyond comparison." "We hope they take comfort in knowing Jack's incredible voice will live on forever. "His love for the fans and his sons went unmatched, as was his own love for rock music.
