McDonald’s have been on a streak of reimagining their products by adding a little bit of spice. Recently we have seen old faithful's removed from their menu to make way for the Spicy Big Tasty, Spicy McChicken burger and the spicy chicken nuggets which have all been released to polarising reception.
One of the most recent tongue tingling items is the limited edition Mega Hot Sauce. On their website, McDonald’s proclaims that ‘it lives up to it’s name’ with a blend of crushed red pepper and jalapenos. To be fair, we chose two sauces on both ends of the Scoville scale to test just how spicy McDonald’s new sauce gets. One on side, is the ever delicious Sriracha Hot Chilli sauce which definitely has a kick but is equal parts delicious with it’s signature smokey flavour.
On the other end of the spectrum we had Tropical Sun’s tear inducing Carolina Reaper Hot Sauce which I can only describe as death in a bottle.
