Children in Need returns for another year with the BBC hoping to once again raise millions of pounds for the charity. The annual live show takes place on Friday night with the general public and celebrities looking to raise lots of cash to help kids across the country.

This year's three-hour show, which is being broadcast from MediaCity, will include a variety of sketches and special performances with music from former Little Mix star Leigh-Anne, Nottingham-based singer Jerub and the UK’s Junior Eurovision act STAND UNIQU3.

There will also be special sketches from shows including Doctor Who, Masterchef, Race Across Yorkshire and The Graham Norton Show. By Friday lunchtime it had already been announced that his fundraising effort has already managed to bring in more than £4.3m for the charity.
