thesun.co.ukHOLLYOAKS' 25th anniversary episodes are at risk over the set shutdown. The Channel 4 soap is set to celebrate its quarter century anniversary in October with a week of explosive and emotional episodes.
However the current production shutdown means the build up to the special week is at risk - and more so the anniversary itself could be hampered.
Actor Nick Pickard, the soap's longest serving star, told Digital Spy: "It must be so busy and really hard for the team. "The producers have planning meetings, but then this comes along and all of the work they've done has been wiped out. "Also, with our 25th anniversary coming up, it must have put a little cat among the pigeons there as well.
