J. Kim Murphy Stefan Grygelko, a pillar of the San Francisco drag community who performed under the persona Heklina, was found dead Monday in London.

Heklina was 54. Heklina was discovered by Peaches Christ (fellow drag performer Joshua Grannell) on Monday morning. The pair had been touring with their stage production “Mommie Queerest,” a parody of the 1981 cult feature “Mommie Dearest,” which was slated for a two-week run at the Soho Theatre.

No official cause of death has been released. “I am shocked and horrified to bring this news to you. I am living in a real-life nightmare so forgive me if I don’t have all the answers just now.

This morning, in London, England I went to collect my dear friend Heklina, who is costarring with me in a Mommie Queerest show here, and found her dead,” Peaches Christ wrote in a statement on social media. “Heklina is not just my best friend, but a beloved icon of our community.

Drake Bell apparently had a «falling out» with his wife, which led to the former Nickelodeon star's «possible attempted suicide,» this according to police.In a 911 audio recording between an Orlando Police Department officer and a dispatcher with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Department in Florida, the officer said the scary ordeal was a «celebrity» who had a «falling out» with his wife and police got involved because Bell was texting family in California saying he was going to «get drunk and hang himself» in a hotel somewhere in Orlando.According to the 911 audio, obtained by ET, cops say they got permission to ping Drake's phone for his exact location. In the audio, it appears cops had gotten Bell's coordinates and were trying to pinpoint his exact location.

With fans anticipating a star-studded list of headliners like Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean, this year’s festival is the first that notably consists of a lineup of over 50% international artists.  As in other recent years, Coachella 2023 will be available to stream online via its official YouTube channel on the first weekend — and the good news is that this marks the full time the second weekend will also have just an extensive slate of streaming instead of just select highlights. Livestreams are accessible on desktop, mobile or the YouTube app via Coachella’s official YouTube page. For the first time, six of the stages from the festival — instead of the usual three — will be accessible for streaming, starting April 14 at 4 p.m. PT (and continuing on April 21 at the same time for the festival’s second weekend). Following each day of festivities, Coachella’s YouTube will rerun video performances from the day prior.

Courteeners, English Teacher and Louis Tomlinson were among the acts to be honoured at the first-ever Northern Music Awards.The inaugural ceremony – hosted by the UK’s largest music therapy charity, Nordoff And Robbins – took place at the Albert Hall in Manchester last night (April 23) to celebrate northern artists, festivals, venues and industry figures.Presented by BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins, the event featured live performances from Courteeners frontman Liam Fray, as well as English Teacher, Lisa Stansfield, The K’s and more.Guest presenters from the region included former Manchester United footballer Gary Neville, New Order‘s Gillian Gilbert and Stephen Norris, and Grimsby-born actor Thomas Turgoose (This Is England). ‌ Neville awarded Courteeners with the Band Of The Year prize.
