Heartbreaking pictures released after bleeding, underweight and furless dog found tied up near canal
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA bleeding dog with large chunks of its fur missing was found tied up with rope near a canal in Stockport. The young bull breed-type dog was found by a member of the public near the Peak Forest Canal at Woodley Precinct.
Large areas of his body were completely bald and covered in scabs and sores, some of which were bleeding from where he’d had been scratching and itching himself, the RSPCA say.
After being taken by the finder to the charity’s Greater Manchester Animal Hospital in Salford, he is now receiving treatment for suspected demodex damage and is making encouraging progress.
