Gorka Marquez has shared an emotional message with fans after being forced to leave home days after he welcomed his second child into the world.

The Strictly Come Dancing star announced last Wednesday (July 19) the joyous news that Gemma Atkinson had given birth. The couple revealed back in January that they were expecting again and their baby boy made his arrival last week, just over four years after Gorka, 32, and Gemma, 38, welcomed first-born Mia into the world on July 4 2019.

"He arrived safe and sound and he’s utterly wonderful," the former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star added before sharing more details about their brand new life as a family of four. "Mia is already the mother hen we expected her to be," the loved-up pair went on.

However, Gemma shared how the new family of four's time together was going to be limited as she confirmed: "We’re all home together soaking up this lovely little bubble before Gorks has to leave for Strictly rehearsals next week."
